Made after hours by Kurt and Lee
Mischief Mates started in 2021 as a pandemic side project. Kurt and Lee still have day jobs. The Mates are what they make after them.
The story
Inspired by the people we know
Kurt works in branding, and the Mates grew out of that eye: simple, bold shapes with a lot of personality.
Our characters are inspired by the community Kurt and Lee found in San Francisco and New York: friends, bar nights, street fairs and bear weekends. They started with tees, then kept going with tanks, caps, pins, bags, mugs, aprons, greeting cards and more.
Every year, 10% of the profits go to organizations supporting LGBTQ+ youth. Thanks to you, we've been able to support the Ali Forney Center, which supports LGBTQ+ young people experiencing homelessness.
